Adult Discipleship Ministry

Join us for our Adult Discipleship ministries

In Matthew 28, Jesus says, “Follow me… “(v.19) and “Go therefore and make disciples…” (v.19).

Christ’s disciples followed him in both attitude and action.  They learned from him, they were transformed by grace, and they taught others about him.  Our adult discipleship groups aim to follow this example.  We gather to study the word of God together, to follow Christ’s example and to submit to his transforming grace.  We walk through life alongside each other in fellowship, comfort, and encouragement.

Our discipleship groups meet at various times during the week.  If you would like to join a group or start a group of your own, please contact Lee Bradley at lee.bradley@stuttgartfmc.org.

Noon Pastor’s Disciple Group

This disciple group will be reading the bible through in a year using The Daily Bible: In Chronological Order of 365 Daily Readings. Reading the Bible chronologically will provide a fresh, inviting, and transformational experience. The group will meet weekly to discuss and share their experience with God’s word over the previous week. Meets in the parlor from noon – 1:00 PM. Please register and purchase your bible using the church app. Go to your app store and search for Stuttgart FMC and download the app today.

Evening Bible Study Group

This disciple group will be reading Jonah – Navigating a Life Interrupted. Interruptions. They're aggravating. Sometimes infuriating. But how we handle interruptions actually tells us more about ourselves. What do we do when God interrupts our lives? Many times, like Jonah, we run! Priscilla redefines interruption and shows that interruption is actually God's invitation to do something beyond our wildest dreams. When Jonah was willing to allow God to interrupt his life, the result was revival in an entire city.
